30The organizing committee of Expoforest 2014 – Brazilian Forestry Fair outlined the main goals of the fair at the meeting in France
October 2013 was the month when Lyon, France, held the Annual Forestry Demo Fairs (FDF) Meeting. During the event, representatives of Elmia Wood (Sweden), KWF Tagung (Germany), Euroforest (France) and Eko-Las (Poland) gave presentations offering overviews of their respective fairs.
The Expoforest general director, Mr. Jorge R. Malinovski, participated in the Meeting and shared with the participants the great results achieved by Expoforest 2011, as well as the record number of exhibitors already booked for Expoforest 2014. “This is a great opportunity to share our results, to exchange information and technical expertise regarding large-scale event logistics, and also to get to know more about what’s being planned for the world’s most important forestry fairs,” said Malinovski.
Expoforest, the only trade fair in the southern hemisphere in the FDF, has become more and more global with each edition. “During the meeting, FinnMetko organizers confirmed the presence of an entire finnish travel group at the fair, as well as the German organizers of KWF Tagung,” Malinovski added.
At the Annual Meeting, FDF also accepted FinnMetko (Finland) and Asturforesta (Spain) as official members of its international dynamic forestry fair network.
