The CMPC unit in Guaíba, in Rio Grande do Sul, broke a new record. The pulp production registered in 2022 reached the historical mark of 2,063,093 tons, surpassing the previous year which represented the highest volume until then.
According to the company, more than 90% of the production was destined for export to markets in Europe and Asia, especially China. The rest is directed to the Brazilian production chain.
“It is a joy to be able, once again, to reach such a significant record and which makes tangible the efforts made in all areas so that we can reach such an expressive production number in our unit”, said Mauricio Harger, general director of CMPC Brasil.
