JULIANO ARAUJO WILL REMAIN AT ABIMCI FOR ANOTHER THREE YEARS

In early March, the new board of directors of the Brazilian Association for Mechanically Processed Timber (Abimci) was elected for the three-year period 2023/2026. The new administration and fiscal councils took over the entity’s management for the next three years, during a ceremony held in Curitiba (PR).

The current president, Juliano Vieira de Araujo, of F.V. de Araujo S/A., remains in office. “We started this new management attentive to the market behavior , which is showing signs of change in Brazil and in the main consumer markets for the Brazilian products, with new dynamics and consumption adaptations after the pandemic years. The scenario calls attention, but I believe in the strength of the union and the joint effort of all the companies linked to Abimci to overcome the challenges”, said Juliano.

Among the main guidelines for the 2023/2026 management are: sustainability, carbon credits, ESG, wood supply, tariff and non-tariff barriers, wood in the civil construction and market opportunities.
