SUDATI WILL INVEST MORE THAN BRL 1 BILLION IN MILL EXPANSIONS

The manufacturer of MDF panels, Sudati Painéis, received an Environmental License to expand the unit in Otacílio Costa, in the region of Santa Catarina state. The Brazilian company specializing in coated MDF has been operating since December 2008. The products are intended for the manufacture of furniture, indoor environments, and decoration.

At the beginning of March, the license for expansion was formalized at the headquarters of the government of the state of Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis. Granted by the state environmental agency, the Instituto do Meio Ambiente (IMA), the Installation Environmental License (LAI) allows the start of the works, which have an estimated investment of around BRL 1.3 billion and should triple the production capacity of the mill.

The company Sudati Painéis was represented by the president Luiz Alberto Sudati, the vice president, João Eduardo Pedroso Sudati and the company’s CFO, Ivânio Oliveira Vaz. The meeting was led by Governor Jorginho Mello and was attended by the president of the Santa Catarina Institute of the Environment (IMA), Sheila Meirelles.

The forecast is that the work will generate around one thousand jobs and another three hundred job vacancies after the end of the work.
