Sylvamo, the paper company of the world, entered into a partnership with the Municipal Department of Education of Mogi Guaçu/SP to implement the Ejatec program (Education of Young People and Adults – Secondary or High school/Technical Education) in the municipality. With the project, in addition to basic high school education, students will receive a professional qualification course.
Initially, the program will be for a group of 25 employees of Sylvamo do Brasil, who will have classes at the Guaçuana Educational Foundation (FEG), from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Besides to high school content, students will take a technical course in automation.
For the municipal secretary of Education of Mogi Guaçu, Paulo Paliari, the experience will serve as a model for new classes. “Based on this, we will have excellent guidance so that, in the future, we can evaluate the possibility of extending the program to thepopulation of Guaçuana in general, as well as opening other technical training courses”, he commented.
