TRIBLE SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE FOR FORESTRY

Trimble, a global technology company, will present software and hardware solutions that are trends in the areas of forestry and logistics at Expoforest 2023. Among the highlights are options that go from end to end in the sector’s production chain, from management aimed at the forestry and industrial management segment, even transport, such as a camera on board trucks that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to increase driver safety and fleet productivity.

For managers who work with forestry, the company presents Connected Forest, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that provides support to manage all areas of the business, spatially enabled for those who manage planted or native forests. With the software, it is possible to increase proactive actions aimed at ESG, with more efficient use of resources, with more accurate and faster decision-making.

Trimble Wedge, a data analysis software aimed at managing continuous production processes, stands out for being adopted by several companies in the pulp and paper industry due to the optimization of resources in a single virtual environment.

“Our solutions are adopted by companies that are concerned with having an agile and up-to-date flow with the pace of the market. Expoforest is an opportunity for us to present our entire portfolio, and demonstrate how each option fits and can be improved and adapted to each work routine”, explains Fátima Gonçalves, director of Trimble Florestal and the company’s New Business Division.

Trimble Transportation, a division of the company that offers technology solutions for transport and logistics, takes to Expoforest the Vmov+, a video surveillance equipment with on-board Artificial Intelligence (AI) capable of identifying fatigue and distraction due to cell phone use while driving.

“Those who work in the forestry sector know that as important as extracting a good raw material is ensuring that its transport does not compromise its quality. A peculiarity of this sector is that the trucks that carry out the logistics of the wood are obliged to travel at low speed, which increases the possibility of driver drowsiness or distraction. Trimble’s solution works to make delivery effective, safe for the driver and more efficient for the company”, explains Rony Neri, general director of Trimble Transportation Latam.
